If you want to reserve specific inventory for a retail partner, you can create a duplicate product in Shopify and list it exclusively on the Rokt Catalog sales channel. This keeps your partner inventory separate from your online store without affecting your existing listings.
How to set aside inventory
- Create a duplicate of the product in Shopify.
- Rename the duplicate to include "For Catalog" (e.g., Blue Jeans — For Catalog) so it's easy to identify. Your partner can update this title later.
- In the duplicate product's settings, navigate to Sales channels and apps.
- Check the box for Catalog for Brands. Do not add the duplicate to your online store.
- Select Save.
Your duplicated product is now available to your partner through Rokt Catalog. Inventory for this product is tracked separately from the original listing in your Shopify store.
