Inventory Alerts

Canal's Inventory Alerts page allows you to review, action on, and communicate with your Suppliers on inventory levels. You can learn more about reaching out to your Supplier partners here.

*Only Active and Draft products will be displayed on this page. If a product is moved to Archive it will be removed.

Alerts where Retailer action is suggested

For each of these alerts we suggest checking with the Supplier to see if they plan on restocking or re-listing the products. In cases where the Supplier won't be restocking, re-listing, or resuming selling you may want to move the product to Draft or Archive. 

Out of Stock

This shows products where your Supplier has run out of inventory for the specified variants.

 

Unlisted

The Supplier has removed these products from Canal and it has been marked as “out of stock” on your store so customers can not continue to buy this product.

 

Paused

The Supplier has paused selling for these products and they have been marked as "out of stock" on your site until the Supplier resumes selling.

Alerts where Retailer action is not required

For each of these alerts no action is needed on your end, but you are always welcome to contact your partners if you have questions or concerns about the product status.

Low inventory

These product variants may show on your store as out of stock soon as the Supplier is running low on inventory.

 

Negative inventory

These products will continue selling regardless of inventory quantity, though they may appear to be running low on inventory.

 

Not tracked

The products are tracked by the Supplier on a platform outside of Shopify. They will appear in your Shopify as 100 in stock. Learn more about how Supplier inventory is tracked.
