If you want to list a product exclusively on Rokt Catalog, you have two options: duplicating an existing SKU in Shopify, or creating a brand new product from scratch. Follow the steps below based on your preferred approach!
Duplicate an existing product in Shopify
Use this option if you already have a similar product in your Shopify store and want to create an exclusive variant for Rokt Catalog.
- Duplicate your SKU in Shopify. The SKU ID will remain the same, so this will have no effect on your fulfillment.
- Rename the SKU using the appropriate naming convention. Example: Coffee Mug (Rokt Exclusive)
- Set the MSRP to the appropriate amount for your Listing.
- Ensure the product is set to "Active" on your Rokt Catalog for Brands sales channel only. This ensures your Partners can access it while keeping it hidden from your DTC site.
Create an exclusive product from scratch
Use this option if you want to build a brand new product that exists solely for Rokt Catalog!
- In Shopify, go to Products and click "Add product."
- Enter the product title using the appropriate naming convention. Example: Silk Scrunchie Bundle (Rokt Exclusive)
- Add a product description, images, and any relevant variants (size, color, quantity, etc.).
- Set your SKU and barcode in the Inventory section. If this product is Rokt-exclusive, you may want to use a unique SKU prefix to distinguish it. Example: ROKT-SS-001
- Set the MSRP to the appropriate amount for your activation.
- Under Sales channels, deselect all channels except "Rokt Catalog for Brands." This ensures the product is only visible to your Rokt Catalog Partners and does not appear on your DTC site.
- Set the product status to "Active" and click Save.
