Below are Catalog's guidelines for the product import CSV. Following these guidelines ensures a successful upload.
Field reference
Variant ID (do not modify)
- Read-only field — do not edit this field.
- When uploading for the first time, leave this column blank. Catalog automatically assigns an ID to the variant, which is populated when you export your products to CSV.

SKU (required)
- The Stock Keeping Unit — a unique identifier for each product variant.
- Any alphanumeric values are accepted.
Variant title (required)
- The title of the variant. For example, if the product title is "T-shirt," the variant titles might be "Red" and "Blue."
Product title (required)
- The title of the product. Variants belonging to the same product are grouped by having the same product title.
Description
- The description of the product or variant in plain text.
Vendor
- Can be used when uploading products from multiple brands.
- If left blank, this defaults to the brand name added during onboarding.
Price (required)
- The price the product or variant is sold at. If you're offering products at a discount, enter the discount price here.
Original MSRP
- If you're offering products at a discount, enter the original MSRP here.
- Leave blank if you do not want to show a strikethrough price.
- Only populate this field if you plan on showing a sale price. For example: Price = "10.99", Original MSRP = "15.99" (displayed as $10.99,
$15.99).
Continue selling when out of stock
- Specifies whether to continue selling the product when it is out of stock.
- This field is required if you plan on tracking inventory.
- Accepted values:
deny,continue.
Inventory quantity
- The quantity of the product or variant in stock.
- Accepts integers.
Weight
- The weight of the product or variant.
- Number field, decimals acceptable (e.g., 7.99).
- Do not include the weight unit (lb, g, oz).
Weight unit
- The unit of measurement for the weight.
- Accepted values:
g,oz,lb.
GTIN / UPC / Barcode
- The Global Trade Item Number, Universal Product Code, or barcode for the product or variant.
- Alphanumeric values accepted.
Image URL
- The URL of the image for the product or variant. The URL must link to a file (ending with a file extension like .jpg, .png, etc.).
- There are 5 Image URL columns — only the first one is required.
- For a product with multiple variants, the first Image URL is used as the main image for the product.
Product URL
- The URL of the product's webpage.
Listing status
- The status of the product's listing on Catalog. If left blank, it defaults to listed.
- Accepted values:
LISTED,UNLISTED.
Product category
- Used to group products shown on the Catalog Discover feature.
- For multiple values, separate with commas and no spaces (e.g.,
Other,Lifestyle,Wellness & Beauty). - Accepted values: Other, Lifestyle, Wellness & Beauty, Lounge, Home Goods, Snacks, Cleaning, Coffee & Tea, Condiments, Gifting, Wellness, Beauty, Swim, Apparel, Active, Food & Beverage, Men's, Shoes, Kids & Baby, Energy, Indulgences, Pets, Sparkling & Flavored, Cooking, Meat & Seafood, Non-Alcoholic, Bedding, Tableware, Skincare, Garden, Kitchen, Furniture, Candles, Travel, Body & Hand, Safety, Sunscreen.
