If your Retailer's default currency differs from your shop's default currency, you can create a market within Canal to convert your pricing into their currency.
- Add a new market from the “Markets” menu on the product listings page within Canal.
- Input market details: Title, Country(s), and Currency. Then select Save & Continue to proceed
- Products:
- For dynamic exchange rate: choose this if you want Canal to determine prices for the market based on the current exchange rate and your default shop currency.
- For manual price upload: choose this if you prefer to manually set the price for each product in the market currency. Click "Export Products" to download a CSV of your product listings and manually add a secondary price for each product in the currency of the market being added. Save the CSV and then import it back into Canal.
- Shipping: This will determine a default shipping rate for the market. Note that shipping rates will be negotiated in proposals.
- Dynamic shipping rate: Canal will use the current exchange rate to calculate the default rate based on what's already on your profile in your store currency.
- Manual fixed rate: specify the rate in the market currency.
- Save the market
Note: If you utilize Shopify markets, Canal will leverage those prices for your partners. Those markets will be visible within Canal, but should be managed directly in Shopify. If you prefer to add a market in Canal, it will only be used for Canal and will not feed back to Shopify.
