If your Partner's default currency differs from your shop's default currency, you can create a market within Catalog to convert your pricing into their currency.
Steps to add a market
- Add a new market from the Markets menu on the Catalog page within Catalog. The Markets menu can be found in the top right corner of the Catalog page.
- Input market details: Title, country(s), and currency. Then select Save & Continue to proceed.
-
Products:
- Dynamic exchange rate: Choose this if you want Catalog to determine prices based on the current exchange rate and your default shop currency.
- Manual price upload: Choose this if you prefer to manually set the price for each product in the market currency. Select Export Products to download a CSV of your product listings, manually add a secondary price for each product in the market currency, save the CSV, and import it back into Catalog.
-
Shipping: This determines a default shipping rate for the market. Shipping rates are negotiated in proposals.
- Dynamic shipping rate: Catalog uses the current exchange rate to calculate the default rate based on what's already on your profile in your store currency.
- Manual fixed rate: Specify the rate in the market currency.
- Save the market.
Note: If you use Shopify Markets, Catalog leverages those prices for your Partners. Those markets are visible within Catalog but should be managed directly in Shopify. If you prefer to add a market in Catalog, it is only used for Catalog and does not feed back to Shopify.
