The Brands page is your central hub for managing all of your brand partnerships on Rokt Catalog. From here, you can respond to incoming partnership requests, review brand profiles, negotiate terms, and manage approved products—all in one place. In this guide, you'll learn how to navigate each part of the Brands page and make the most of your partnerships.
Getting to the Brands page
Select Brands from the top navigation bar in the Catalog app. At the top of the page, you'll see a count of how many partnership requests are waiting for your response (e.g., "You have 102 requests"). Select View to jump to your request queue.
Brand request cards
At the top of the page, you'll see a row of cards showing Brands that have reached out to partner with you. Each card displays the Brand's logo and name, along with a Respond button. Select Respond to open that Brand's profile and review their proposal details.
These cards give you a quick way to work through incoming requests without scrolling through your full brand list.
Filtering your brand list
Below the request cards, your full list of Brands appears in the left panel. Use the Filter brands option to narrow the list by specific criteria. Select any Brand from the list to open their detail panel on the right side of the page.
Brand detail panel
When you select a Brand, their full profile opens on the right side of the page. This panel is organized into several sections that give you everything you need to evaluate and manage the partnership.
Brand profile header
At the top of the detail panel, you'll see the Brand's banner image, logo, name, category tags (e.g., "Active, Apparel"), business size (e.g., "Small Business"), and a link to their website. This information helps you quickly assess whether the Brand is a good fit for your store.
Responding to a partnership request
If the Brand has sent you a request, you'll see three action buttons at the top of their profile:
- Accept: Approve the partnership with the proposed terms. Once accepted, you can start adding the Brand's products to your store.
- Decline: Turn down the partnership request. The Brand is notified, but you can always reconnect in the future.
- Counter: Propose different terms before committing. This opens a negotiation where you can suggest changes to commission, shipping, or other details.
Partnership tabs
Below the action buttons, the Brand profile is organized into tabs that let you explore different aspects of the partnership.
About tab
The About tab provides background information on the Brand, including their description, mission, and any details they've shared about their business. Use this to understand the Brand's story and whether their products align with your audience.
Partnership tab
The Partnership tab shows the terms of your agreement with the Brand. This is where you'll find the details that directly affect your earnings and operations.
Shipping terms
This section outlines how shipping costs are handled between you and the Brand. You'll see two key details:
- Pay Brand: How you pay the Brand to cover their shipping costs. For example, "dynamic rate" means you pay the Brand the shipping rate from their website.
- Charge customer: What your customers pay for shipping at checkout. "Dynamic rate" means customers are charged the Brand's website shipping rate.
If you want to adjust shipping terms, select Renegotiate to start a conversation with the Brand.
Commission
This section shows the percentage of each sale that you earn, minus Rokt Catalog platform fees. If the commission doesn't work for your business model, select Renegotiate to propose a different rate. You can also select See more for a detailed breakdown.
Assets tab
The Assets tab contains any additional materials the Brand has shared, such as product imagery, marketing assets, or brand guidelines. These resources can help you create more effective product listings and promotional content on your store. If no assets have been shared yet, select Request assets to ask the Brand to upload materials.
Managing a Brand's products
At the bottom of the Brand detail panel, the Products section lets you manage the specific items available from that Brand.
Product tabs
- Approved: Products that the Brand has approved for you to sell. The number in parentheses shows the total count (e.g., "Approved (15)").
- Available to request: Additional products the Brand offers that you haven't proposed on yet. Browse these to expand your product selection.
Product table
The product table within a Brand's profile works the same way as your main Inventory page, showing each product's name, variants, Product ID, price, availability, status, and match score. Select Add to store to sync a product to your storefront.
Request samples and download
Above the product table, you have two additional options:
- Request samples: Ask the Brand to send you physical product samples so you can evaluate quality before listing. For more details, see Sample requests.
- Download: Export the Brand's product list for offline review or internal planning.
You can also search and filter the products within a Brand's profile using the same Availability and Status filters available on the main Inventory page.
Tips for managing brand partnerships
- Respond to partnership requests promptly—Brands appreciate quick turnaround and it sets a positive tone for the relationship.
- Review the Partnership tab carefully before accepting. Make sure the commission rate and shipping terms work for your margins.
- Use the Counter option if the proposed terms are close but not quite right. Negotiation is a normal part of the process.
- Check the Available to request tab regularly. Brands may add new products that could be a great fit for your store.
