This article explains how payments work when you sell products through Rokt Catalog as a Brand, including payment cadence, how payouts are calculated, and how taxes are handled.
Payment overview
The video below walks through how the flow of funds works with Catalog.
Payment cadence
Orders are eligible for payment once they have been fulfilled. As a Brand, you receive payment for your orders from Catalog based on the cadence listed under Payment Cadence within the Payout History tab. This payment is then pushed to your linked bank account via Stripe. Timing of deposits varies depending on your bank but can take up to a week before you see the funds in your account.
Note: A Stripe Express account is required for all Brands using banks outside of the US.
Payment calculation
Your payment is calculated using the formula below, or you can use Catalog's Commission Calculator to see the breakdown in real time.
Payment amount = (MSRP) - (Partner Commission) - (Catalog Fees)
- MSRP: The product list price.
- Partner Commission: The agreed-upon earnings for each order.
- Catalog Fees: These fees vary depending on your pricing model.
All transactions are subject to a payment processing fee of 0.4% per transaction.
Sales tax
The Partner captures all taxes paid on orders because they are the merchant of record. No taxes are passed on to you as the Brand. We recommend requesting a Resale Certificate from your Partners.
