Your Overview page is the first thing you see when you log in to Rokt Catalog. It’s your home base—designed to surface the most important actions, track your onboarding progress, and give you a snapshot of how your store is performing. In this guide, you’ll learn what each section of the Overview page does and how to use it to stay on top of your partnerships.
Before you start
To access the Overview page, you need an active Rokt Catalog Partner account. If you haven’t set one up yet, check out Onboarding to Catalog as a Partner on Shopify to get started.
Action items
At the top of the Overview page, you’ll find a set of tiles highlighting items that need your attention. These update in real time and help you prioritize what to tackle first.
| Tile | What it means |
|---|---|
| Proposals to respond to | Brands have sent you product proposals that are waiting for your review. Select the tile to go directly to your Proposals page. |
| Messages to respond to | You have unread messages from brand partners in your Inbox. Select the tile to open your conversations. |
| Orders 5+ days unfulfilled | Orders that have been open for more than five days without fulfillment. Select the tile to review and take action on overdue orders. |
| Tasks to complete | Outstanding to-do items from your onboarding and operational checklists. Select the tile to see what’s left. |
Each tile is clickable and takes you directly to the relevant page, so you can address items without hunting through navigation.
Start selling with Rokt checklist
This checklist walks you through the essential steps to launch your first dropshipping partnership. A progress bar at the top shows how many steps you’ve completed. Each item includes a direct action button and a Learn more link for additional guidance.
Customize your selling preferences
Configure how you want to handle email sharing, order forwarding, product additions, and other key settings. Select Review settings to open your Settings page.
Link a payment method
Add a payment method to pay your Brands for their cost of goods and any applicable fees. We recommend linking your bank account (ACH) to minimize processing fees. Select Get started to add your payment details.
Connect with a Brand
You can invite your existing partners or browse Discover to find new Brand partners. Once you’re connected, you can add their products to your store from the Inventory page. Select View my Suppliers to manage your brand connections.
Run a test order
After a Brand approves your product proposal, place a test order to see how Catalog integrates with your ERP and fulfillment systems. This helps you troubleshoot common issues before going live with customers.
Check your tax implications
As the merchant of record, you’re typically responsible for collecting and remitting taxes on dropshipped sales. Before you start selling, check with your tax professional to make sure your tax software is set up to handle these orders correctly.
Start selling
Once you’ve completed the steps above, it’s time to go live. Edit your product detail pages (PDPs), set your products to active, and promote your new inventory to customers.
Complete your profile checklist
A complete profile helps Brands evaluate whether your store is a good fit for their products. The more thorough your profile, the more likely you are to attract quality partners.
- Add brand imagery and description: Upload a banner image and brand icon so Brands can easily identify your store. Select Edit profile to get started.
- Set your desired terms: These default terms are shown to Brands in the Catalog network if your profile is public. You can always negotiate different terms per partner.
- Add additional partnership resources: Upload supporting materials like an onboarding guide, pitch deck, or terms of service to help Brands evaluate a potential partnership.
- Get discovered by Brands: Fill out the opportunity details so Brands can find you in Discover and send you inbound partnership requests.
- Add marketplace goals and partner details: Share the types of Brands you’re looking for. The more detail you provide, the less back-and-forth during partnership discussions.
Operational checklist
These items help you get the most out of Catalog on an ongoing basis.
- Invite your team: Add team members and customize their access. Select Invite team to send invitations.
- Set your email preferences: Choose which notifications you receive, from order updates to proposal alerts. Select Manage email preferences to customize.
- Integrate the payment reporting API: Connect your ERP or custom reporting tools to Catalog’s Payment History API for automated payment data syncing.
- Install the Supplier app: If you also sell your own products to other Partners, you can install the Supplier app to manage that side of the business from the same account.
