The Proposals page gives you a centralized view of every product proposal across your brand partnerships. You can track which proposals need your attention, filter by status or Brand, and respond to pending requests—all from one place. In this guide, you'll learn how to navigate the Proposals page and manage your proposals efficiently.
Getting to the Proposals page
Select Proposals from the top navigation bar in the Catalog app. The page opens with an action items summary at the top, followed by a filterable table of all your proposals.
Action items
At the top of the Proposals page, a set of tiles highlights items that need your attention:
| Tile | What it means |
|---|---|
| Proposals to respond to | Proposals from Brands that are waiting for you to accept, decline, or counter. These are your highest priority. |
| Unread messages about proposals | New messages within proposal threads that you haven't read yet. Select the tile to review them in your Inbox. |
| Sent proposals expiring soon | Proposals you've sent that are approaching their expiration date. Follow up with the Brand before they expire. |
Filtering proposals
Above the proposals table, you'll find several filters to narrow down the list:
- Date range: Select a start and end date to view proposals from a specific time period.
- Brands: Filter by a specific Brand to see only their proposals.
- Status: Show only proposals with a particular status (e.g., Approved, Pending, Declined).
- Turn: Filter by whose turn it is to act—yours or the Brand's. This is a quick way to find proposals waiting on your response.
- Expiring: Surface proposals that are close to their expiration date so you can act before time runs out.
Combining filters is especially useful when you have a large volume of proposals. For example, filter by "Pending" status and "Your turn" to see exactly which proposals need your immediate attention.
Understanding the proposals table
Each row in the table represents a single proposal. Here's what each column tells you:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Brand | The Brand's name and logo. Select the Brand name to open the proposal details. |
| Date initiated | When the proposal was first created or sent. |
| Product count | How many products are included in the proposal (e.g., "43 products" or "1 product"). |
| Commission | The percentage you earn on sales of these products. If the proposal covers products at different rates, you'll see a range (e.g., "30–32.88%"). |
| Shipping contribution | How shipping costs are handled. Common values include "Dynamic rate" (Brand's standard shipping rates) and a fixed flat rate (e.g., "$0.00 flat rate" for free shipping to you). |
| Status | The current state of the proposal. See below for details on each status. |
Proposal statuses
The Status column tells you where a proposal stands in the negotiation process.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Approved | Both you and the Brand have agreed to the terms. You can add the proposal's products to your store and start selling. |
| Pending | The proposal is waiting for a response from one side. If a Respond now button appears, it's your turn to act. |
| Declined | One party has declined the proposal. You can always create a new proposal with different terms if you'd like to try again. |
| Expired | The proposal wasn't acted on before the expiration date. You can draft a new proposal to restart the conversation. |
Responding to a pending proposal
When a proposal has a Respond now button, the Brand is waiting on you. Select Respond now to open the proposal details, where you can:
- Accept the proposal to approve the terms and start adding products to your store.
- Decline the proposal if the terms or products aren't a fit.
- Counter with adjusted terms—such as a different commission rate or shipping arrangement—to continue the negotiation.
For a detailed walkthrough of creating your own proposals, see Drafting a proposal.
Pagination
If you have more proposals than fit on a single page, use the pagination controls at the bottom of the table to navigate between pages. The current page and total count are shown (e.g., "1 / 37").
Tips for managing proposals
- Check the action items tiles at the top of the page daily to catch pending proposals and expiring deadlines.
- Use the Turn filter to focus on proposals that are specifically waiting on you.
- When a proposal has a commission range, review the per-product breakdown before accepting to make sure every product works for your margins.
- If a proposal doesn't quite work, use Counter rather than declining outright—Brands are often open to negotiation.
