Below is a step-by-step guide to onboarding with WooCommerce! Before you start, here are some things to know before you begin this process:
- This integration requires you to have the WooCommerce plugin installed and activated in WordPress.
- The WooCommerce shipment tracking extension is required for fulfillment and tracking to work on Canal.
- Your host environment must meet WooCommerce's minimum requirements, including SOAP Client Support.
Step 1: Select WooCommerce as your Integration type
Step 2: Install the Canal app and enter your store URL
You may need to navigate back to your WooCommerce account and select Onboard to Canal under the Canal plugin to prompt next steps.
Step 3: Create your account
The email and password created on this step will be used to login to Canal going forward.
Step 4: Complete brand profile
Step 5: Pre-approve existing Retailers to sell your products
You can learn more about how pre-approval works here.
Step 6: List your products to Canal
You have the option to list your entire product catalog or select specific products. If you skip this step you will need to manually add your products before partners can send you a proposal.
Step 7: Set your desired partnership terms
Terms listed here will be displayed on your profile for potential partners to see. You will always have the chance to renegotiate or set new terms before a partnership is established.
